Vouchers and balance

Redeem the currently available SYP voucher, track USD credit in your chosen display currency, and understand the live payment boundary.

Voucher billing

alawadi.cloud uses prepaid USD credit. The live funding path today is a voucher bought in Syrian pounds (SYP) from an approved reseller. Redeem the code in the portal and its USD-credit value lands in your account; product use then draws down that credit according to each service's published billing unit.

Vouchers are the only live top-up rail today. Card and USDT payments appear in the portal as Coming soon and are not yet clickable.

Current payment boundary

The current reseller prices vouchers in SYP. This is not region-wide local currency checkout: AED and JOD are display currencies, and card and USDT funding are not live yet.

Redeem a voucher

Vouchers are sold out of band: buy one (priced in Syrian pounds) from an approved reseller. You never create or mint a voucher yourself; the portal only redeems codes.

Open Billing in the portal (/dashboard/billing). You will see your Account balance card, a Redeem a voucher card, usage, and transaction history.

In the Redeem a voucher card, type or paste the code into the single Voucher code field. The placeholder shows the shape ALWD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. You can type lowercase, with or without dashes. The field uppercases the text and inserts the dashes for you as you type.

Click Redeem voucher. That is the only action. There is no amount, currency, or account field to fill. The voucher's value is baked into the code, and your account is taken from your signed-in session.

On success a confirmation shows the credited amount and the field clears itself. Your Account balance and Transaction history refresh on their own (no page reload), and a new Voucher credit row appears in the ledger.

Codes are single-use

Each voucher can be redeemed once. A second attempt with the same code is rejected as already redeemed. Codes are case-insensitive.

If the code is rejected, the portal tells you why inline: a wrong format (Enter a code in the format ALWD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.), an unknown code, or one that has already been redeemed. Fix the code and click Redeem voucher again.

How balance is shown

The balance card uses your resolved display currency: AED, SYP, JOD, or USD. With the default AUTO preference, the display follows your home project's region; you can override it in account settings. A non-USD headline is converted for display only and keeps a USD reference beneath it. Your ledger, balance, voucher value, and every charge remain USD credit.

How balance is spent

Your balance is drawn down by pay-as-you-go metering. The billing unit depends on the product: app and managed-database compute is metered hourly, AI is priced per token, and Basin object storage is based on booked capacity. Charges appear in the same append-only ledger as voucher credits, so credits and charges stay auditable side by side.

If your balance runs low the portal shows a warning banner; if it reaches zero your apps are scaled down and a non-dismissible banner asks you to top up. Adding credit brings suspended apps back online automatically.

See the Billing API to read your balance and redeem vouchers programmatically, for example from a script or CI.
